SHMUEL SENDZHIN


SHMUEL SENDZHIN (b. ca. 1900)
            He was born in Warsaw, Poland.  He studied in religious elementary school and Talmud-Torah.  In his youth he worked in various trades, served in the Polish army, and later was a coal dealer in Warsaw.  On several occasions in the early 1930s, he made his way through Poland.  In 1934 he published in Warsaw’s Vokhnshrift far literatur (Weekly writing for literature) chapters of a lengthy reportage piece entitled “Geshikhte fun a shleper” (Story of a vagabond).  In it he recounts his experiences and in the military and later in the environs of hobos and various types of beggars.  Since WWII there has been no further information about him.
