YITSKHOK NIBORSKI

YITSKHOK NIBORSKI (b. January 20, 1947)
            He was born in Buenos Aires.  He studied in the Buenos Aires Perets School, Jewish teachers’ seminary, and a state middle school.  After studying at the local university, he settled in Paris in 1979, where he worked as a librarian at the Medem Library and as a Yiddish teacher at a university.  He published from time to time poetry in: Yunger dor (Young generation) in Buenos Aires; Yugntruf (Call to youth) and Afn shvel (At the threshold) in New York; and reviews in Argentiner yivo-shriftn (Writings from YIVO in Argentina), Goldene keyt (Golden chain) in Tel Aviv (1982), and from 1984 in Unzer shtime (Our voice) in Paris.  He compiled (with Khaye Gurshteyn) “Konyugatsye-tabele fun yidishe verbn” (Conjugation table for Yiddish verbs), Argentiner yivo-shriftn (December 1974).  He authored Yidish-shpanish verterbukh (Yiddish-Spanish dictionary) (Buenos Aires: YIVO, 1983), with Y. Y. Lerman; and Shalom yidish (Welcome to Yiddish), a textbook (Paris, 1983), with Dvoyre Kosman.[1]
