SH. MAHLINSKI

SH. MAHLINSKI (b. 1860)

            He came from Russia.  After the pogroms of 1881, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Philadelphia.  He contributed articles and translations from Russian and English to such Philadelphia publications as: Dos likht (The light) in 1899, Di idishe presse (The Jewish press) in 1905, and Filadelfyer morgn-tsaytung (Philadelphia morning newspaper) in January-April 1907.  For a time he was the Philadelphia correspondent for Yidishe tageblat (Jewish daily newspaper) in New York.  Other biographical details remain unknown.
