VOLF LIBERMAN

VOLF LIBERMAN (b. January 13, 1900)

            He was born in Dombrove (Dąbrowa Górnicza), near Bendin (Będzin), Poland.  He studied in religious elementary school and synagogue study hall, and he later completed a business course and became a business employee.  He published correspondence pieces in: Haynt (Today), Moment (Moment), and Hayom (Today) in Warsaw; and Haolam (The world) in London.  He also contributed to: Zaglembyer tsaytung (Zagłębie newspaper) in Będzin (1923-1939); and Unzer tog (Our day) in Sosnovtse (Sosnowiec); among others.  He wrote articles on Zionist issues.  Until WWII he was living in Sosnowiec, where he served as a councilor in the Jewish community.  He died during the Nazi rule in Poland, 1940-1945.
