AVROM-MOYSHE LIBERMAN

AVROM-MOYSHE LIBERMAN (1896-September 4, 1970)
            He was born in Brezne (Berezno), Volhynia, Ukraine.  He studied in religious elementary school and yeshiva, and secular knowledge through self-study.  In 1929 he immigrated to Brazil.  He worked for a time as peddler.  He was writing poetry from 1930.  He contributed work to: Unzer shtime (Our voice) in São Paolo; Idishe prese (Jewish press) and Idishe folkstsaytung (Jewish people’s newspaper) in Rio de Janeiro; and others.  In book form: Blimelekh (Little flowers) (Rio de Janeiro, 1931), 14 pp.; Yung brazil, lider un poemes (Young Brazil, poetry) (New York, 1947), 125 pp.  He died in Rio de Janeiro.
