YANKEV-PERETS YOZELIT

YANKEV-PERETS YOZELIT (b. April 23, 1909)
            He was born in Kovno.  He studied in the Hebrew high school there.  In 1927 he emigrated to the United States.  He graduated from Herzliya Seminary in New York and was a teacher in various cities.  From 1972 he was living in Israel.  In 1927 he began writing correspondence pieces for Idishe shtime (Jewish voice) in Kovno, later publishing in Morgn-zhurnal (Morning journal), Tog (Day), and Veker (Alarm) in New York, and Letste nayes (Latest news) in Tel Aviv.  He also wrote for Hebrew-language newspapers in New York.
