YANKEV-BOREKH VAYNSHTOK
            He was born in Mihalovits, Hungary.  He published a book entitled Zeykher yankev, oder yidishe byografye (To the member of Jacob, or Jewish biography), “a world history from Adam to our times,” “recent history and notable occurrences, cited from Hebrew texts and translated into the Judeo-German language” (Sighet-Marmației, 1901), 98 pp.  Another Vaynshtok in 1888-1892 published in Klausenburg (Cluj-Napoca) a biweekly paper in Yiddish (or Judeo-German) called Kol mevaser (Herald), organ of ritual slaughterers, filled almost entirely with the quarrels among the Hungarian ritual slaughteres.
