SHNEUR GOLUBITSKI

SHNEUR GOLUBITSKI (b. 1902)

            He was a Soviet journalist and community leader, born in Kiev, Ukraine.  He graduated from the Jewish section of the Markhlevsky Communist University of National Minorities of the West, and he participated in the civil war. Beginning in 1921, he published work in Yiddish publication for youth, such as Yungvald (Young forest) and Pyonir (Pioneer), among others. In the 1920s and 1930s, he worked in the field of Soviet naval aviation.  After WWII, he was living in Riga.

His works include: Polit alef-beys farn komyugist (Political ABC’s for Communist Youth), with Arn Yerusalimski and Yoysef Lezman (Moscow: Central Publ., 1925), 186 pp.; Af der vakh fun dem sotsyalistishn foterland (On guard for the socialist fatherland), with Arn Yerusalimski (Moscow: Shul un bukh, 1928), 78 pp.
