A.-Y. BENENSON (1895-1941)
His family came from Vilna.
He was an engineer and a teacher in the school “Hilf durkh arbet” (Help
through work). He was the author of a
pamphlet entitled Der trikotazhnik, hantbukh un lernbukh far arbeter in der
trikotazh industrye (Knitwear worker, handbook and textbook for laborers in
the knitwear industry) (Vilna: Ort, 1939), 23 pp. In 1941 he was led out of the Vilna to Ponar where
the Nazis murdered him.
